GLOBAL HEAT PUMP There should be a global heat pump/air conditioning system. We should build a network of pipes, containing either water or coolant all across the globe, at regular intervals all along this network there should be heat pumps, extracting heat from one pipe and into another, resulting in one hot pipe full of water/steam and one cold pipe full of water or coolant if it is too cold. That way it would be possible to transfer heat from places where there is abundant or excess heat to where it is needed, you might say that it is unneccesarily inneficient but, this system can also be used as a way of transporting water from places with excess water too places stricken by drought, it could also be used for the transfer of goods hydraulically through the pipes. All houses would be connected to this network, it would just take a plumber to attatch their new adapted refrigerators and air conditioning devices to the cold pipe and the radiators to the hot pipe and we would be away, maybe the hot pipe could be hot enough to cook with! The heat differential should be enough that well optimised sterling engines could use it to generate electricity to power the world with. Once this system is up and running it should be childishly simple to end global warming by using it as global air conditioning by sequestering the heat energy and turning into electricity.
